On November 3 last year, Elvis and six others were charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120B (Criminal Conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code for supplying snake venom to a party in Sector 51, Noida. This development came after an animal welfare activist Gaurav Gupta, associated with People for Animals NGO, visited the Sector 49 police station.
