Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 8 2024 presented the National Creators Award for the first time at the Bharat Mandap in New Delhi. He also interacted briefly with the winners. The award is designed as a starting point for using creativity to drive positive change. Abhi and Niyu were awarded for the ‘New India Champions’ category. The Prime Minister asked them how they impressed the audience by presenting dry facts. They said if the facts were presented with force, like the prime minister’s style, the audience would respond.

The Best Storyteller creator award went to Kirtika Govinda Samya, better known as Kirti-Itihaas. When he touched the PM, the PM retorted saying that touching feet in art is different but he himself gets particularly offended when a girl touches his feet. When he explained his shortcomings in Hindi, the Prime Minister told him to speak in his preferred language, ‘This is a great country and you will be heard in at least one corner of this vast land. ‘ He praised the Chief Minister for welcoming his son and promoting Tamil language. He told the PM about the intersection of history and politics, and the backlash that sometimes comes on social media as a result. As per the Chief Minister’s request, he said that today’s teenage audience is interested in knowing the importance of India.

Disruptor of the Time was awarded to Ranveer Allahbadia. The Prime Minister suggested to Allahbadia to produce mindfulness about sleep privation. The PM admitted to being sleep- deprived and also mentioned sleeping only for a many hours a day, for the once several times. They had a brief badinage on stage. The creator told the PM, “ Aapke saath podcast karne ka mood ho raha hai sir( I’m in the mood to do a podcast with you, Sir). ” Modi replied, “ Chaliye mood toh har ek ke bahut hote hain bhai( A lot of people have a lot of moods). ”

Ahmedabad- grounded Pankti Pandey, a former scientist from ISRO, won the Green Champion creator Award for amplifying the communication of Mission Life. The principal minister made a familiar statement to the people of Ahmedabad which drew loud applause from the crowd. Pandey advised people to check the scrap in their houses in an trouble to keep it rubbish-free.

The national creator award for the best creative for social change went to Jaikishori, better known as Mira in modern times. He shares stories from the Bhagavad Gita and the Ramayana. He explained his journey as a ‘Kathakar’ and how he made youngsters happy by providing a great insight into the novels of our culture. He also talked about how he can lead a meaningful life while caring for his physical responsibilities. Lakshya Dabas was awarded Most Influential Agricultural Thinker for his work in improving agricultural practices through the use of innovation and technology. His brother, on the other hand, won the award and highlighted the importance of natural farming in the country. He has trained more than 30,000 farmers in natural farming methods and protected crops from pests and parasites. The Chief Minister appreciated his idea and invited him to meet Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat to discuss his vision of organic farming where he has persuaded more than 3 million farmers to adopt organic farming. He also ordered Dabas to listen to Devvrat’s YouTube videos. It also sought the support of the President to debunk myths about natural and organic farming.

The Cultural Ambassador of the Year creator award went to Maithili Thakur who performs original songs, covers and traditional songs in several Indian languages. At the request of the Chief Minister, he sang a devotional song to Lord Shiva on the occasion of Mahashivratri. The Prime Minister recalled Cassandra May Spitman, whom the PM had mentioned in one of his Manki Baat programmes. He sings in many Indian languages, especially devotional songs. Recently, after meeting the Prime Minister, he sang Achyutam Keshavam and a Tamil song in front of PM Modi. There were three producers in the Best International Producer award, Tanzanian Kiri Paul, USA. Drew Hicks and German Cassandra Mae Spitman. Drew Hicks, who has amassed a social media following with his fluent Hindi-Bihari accent and is famous for his linguistic prowess in India. Expressing his happiness about the award, Hicks said he wanted to make people happy and raise the profile of India. He pointed out that his interest in Indian culture began with his father’s association with BHU and Patna.

Kamiya Jani of Curly Tails was awarded Best Travel Designer. She focuses on food, travel and lifestyle. He talked about the beauty of India and said the aim is to make India number one on the global map. Stating that he was confused about going to Lakshadweep or Dwarka, the Chief Minister said that it would be too profound for Dwarka to go, drawing laughter from the audience. PM Modi recalled the joy he felt after visiting the drowning city of Dwarka. He also urged the creators to encourage devotees to see all the holy places after the darshan phase. He also stressed that 5-10 per cent of the total transport budget should be spent on local infrastructure. Besides being a contributor to the local economy, it also helps in strengthening the spirit of One India Greater India, he said. ‘Technical Guruji’ Gaurav Choudhary a high-tech YouTuber won the Tech Creator Award. He credited Digital India for contributing significantly to his department. The Prime Minister said: “We need to democratize technology for a brighter future. UPI is a great symbol of that because it belongs to everyone. Only when such a democratic system comes into being will the world prosper.” Chaudhary shared his experience of implementing UPI in Paris and added that Indian solutions can help the world.

Malhar Kalambe received the Sanitation Ambassador Award for leading a cleanliness campaign since 2017. He also raises awareness about plastic pollution and climate change and is the founder of ‘Beach Please’. The Chief Minister appreciated the consistency of his efforts and praised him for creating a clean environment. The Heritage Fashion Icon award was presented to Jahnavi Singh, a 20-year-old Instagram content creator who talks about Indian fashion and promotes Indian sarees. The Chief Minister said that the textile market goes hand in hand with fashion and lauded the manufacturer’s efforts to promote Indian textiles. She reaffirmed her motto of promoting Indian affairs through Sanskrit, Shastra and Saree. The Chief Minister pointed out the patterns of ready-made shirts, dhotis and similar garments to be tied and inquired his views on promoting such products. He also emphasized the richness of Indian wear. The Prime Minister said that India has always been at the forefront of fashion.

The Best Creative Producer – Female award went to Shraddha, who is known for her multilingual comedy and creating entertaining and inclusive content for different generations. Acknowledging him under the trademark ‘Aiyyo’, the governor said it was the second time he had met him. Shraddha said the award is a recognition for homegrown producers and also highlighted the way she finds light-hearted humor on serious issues. He also supported the Prime Minister’s spontaneity in his interactions with producers. RJ Raunak received the award for Creative Design-Best Person. Raunak said that for Mann Ki Baat, the prime minister was a priority, even more so for the radio industry. He thanked the Prime Minister on behalf of the radio industry. Raunak also spoke in his trademark ‘Boua’ style.

The award for best innovator in food went to Kabita’s Kitchen, a homemaker who turned her cooking and classes into a digital entrepreneur As he kept bothering Malhar Kalambe’s slim figure, the PM jokingly told Kabita to take care of it. She emphasized the importance of cooking as a basic life skill. He added that schools should sensitize students about agriculture so that they understand the importance of food and avoid wastage. Prime Minister says people should try local food when traveling and tells food-related creatives to promote legumes – Mr Anna. The PM recalled his visit to Taiwan where he was recommended for a vegetarian Buddhist restaurant. He inquired about it when he saw vegan-like dishes, and was informed that vegan dishes, such as meat and other foods, attracted locals to these dishes Naman Deshmukh was found to be the ultimate creator in terms of education. She is an Instagram influencer and content creator in the tech and gadget space. He talks about technology, gadgets, finance, social media marketing and educates audiences on AI, coding and other tech-related topics. He informed the Prime Minister about his comments in order to educate people about online scams. The mayor praised him for raising awareness about safe surfing and social media practices. The PM asked manufacturers to manufacture at Atal Tinkering Labs. He also said that children should be encouraged to take up science as successes like the lunar mission brought a new scientific attitude in them.

Ankit Baiyanpuria was awarded the Health and Fitness Award. Bainpuria is a fitness enthusiast and is known for completing 75 of his toughest challenges. ‘Triggered Insan’ was awarded the Nischay Game Creator Award. He is a Delhi-based YouTuber, live streamer and gamer. He thanked the prime minister for recognizing the sports team. Aridaman won the award for Best Micro Manufacturer. He is an expert in Vedic astrology and ancient Indian wisdom. It explores astrology, spirituality, and personal growth. The Best Nano Maker award went to Piyush Purohit from Chamoli Uttarakhand who highlighted lesser known places, people and regional festivals. The Chief Minister recalled one of his requests at Manaki Baat when Kerala girls sang a song from Chamoli. Aman Gupta, the founder and CEO of boAT known for its participation in Shark Tank India, won the Best Creative Creator award. He told the Prime Minister that he started his company when Start Up and Stand-Up India launched in 2016. And in no time, they are one of the biggest audio brands in the world.

Addressing the delegates at the awards ceremony, the President mentioned about the choice of Bharat Mandapam venue for the event, saying that the venue gathered where world leaders gave directions for the future at the G-20 summit the mouths of the people of the country. PM Modi stressed that it was the responsibility of the country to keep pace with the changing times and the new era and said that the country was fulfilling that responsibility for the first time through the National Entrepreneurship Awards. “The National Artist Award gives recognition before the start of a new era,” the mayor said. He expressed confidence that the National Artist Awards would have a greater impact in the coming seasons by energizing the new era and celebrating the creativity and sensitivity of the youth towards everyday life. In the future, the Prime Minister said, the National Designer Awards will serve as a great inspiration to content producers and will bring recognition to their work. Modi congratulated the award winners and also acknowledged the strong participation of the contestants in such a short period of time. “The participation of more than 200,000 creative minds in the program forms the true identity of the country,” he stressed. “You are the writer, director, producer and editor of your own business,” PM Modi asserted, noting the potential of all such talent. “You made an idea, you redesigned it, and you brought it to life on screen. You have not only made the world aware of your power but you have shown the world to them,” the prime minister praised the courage and determination of the content makers. “You are the MVP of the internet,” he said, acknowledging the impact of the content across India. so far .
